Or Snow Moon, Night Geese and a Few Flakes of Snow…
We head out to Slimbridge and the Tudor Caravan Park through stop, start Friday night traffic and then sit on the slip road in a seemingly endless line of red tail lights.
I peer through the rapidly gathering darkness in the hope of seeing a clear sky.
Tonight there should be a penumbral eclipse and a snow moon but it looks looks disappointingly cloudy.
A few flakes of snow begin to fall.
The site is much busier than last time but certainly nowhere near full. We pitch in double quick time as it is absolutely freezing out. The night is loud with the honking of large numbers of geese.
As we look out of the back window a large full moon lights up the black willows behind us.
